Business Risk Assessment

RiskTech recognise the need to effectively manage operational risk at all levels so as to ensure competitive advantage and long term survival.

RiskTech offers a dynamic end to end solution through the implementation of a business continuity management programme which incorporates:-

  • Putting in place effective business continuity and recovery plans (BCP’s) to manage any major disruption to business critical functions while at the same time addressing issues of discovery;
  • Putting in place a system which manages the ongoing issues of operational risk and functional continuity through regular review; and
  • Establishing ownership of the programme at all levels through regular and varied testing and training.

Their task is to assist your organisation through the following five key phases of the programme:-

  1. Understand the business through process mapping;
  2. Identify and assess business vulnerabilities through an impact study;
  3. Develop business recovery plans for key vulnerabilities identified;
  4. Review plans and train personnel; and
  5. Test the plans.

It has been our experience that business continuity planning works best when it is practiced by those who create the plans. This means there must be “ownership” in the process for it to succeed.  For this reason, our system is based on a process of “participation” leading to a (BCP) generated by your organisation.

Some of the benefits of this process will be

  • The successful implementation of the programme will include:-
  • Fully documented but simple business continuity plans for key threats for designated resumption teams;
  • Trained resumption teams who have clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the event of a major disruption;
  • An established and ongoing business continuity management programme based on a process of ongoing review, maintenance and testing of the plans; and
  • Comfort factor for the Board and/or executive team that in the event of a major adverse event, that harm to productivity and revenue will be minimised and that business will be returned to normal in the most expedient time frame possible.
