About RiskTech

The concept of a specialist organisation providing insurance related risk engineering and personal liability business advice became a ‘commercial idea with purpose’ for the company’s founders Michael McKelliget and Robert Wood.

The nature of the insurance industry in late 2000 was going through change and the role of engineering was increasingly seeking services of this nature being ‘independent’, so as to avoid any conflicts of interest between the various parties involved in the design and placement of cover.

As such RiskTech was founded in January 2001 and its purpose was clear from the outset to offer a high level of insurance related risk management advice which was not readily available otherwise in the Australian or indeed Oceania region market.

Their vision included creating RiskTech as a model for a working environment where there was a collegiate spirit, collaborative work practices, a sense of fun and with honour and respect for people as individuals and work/life balance
Nine years later this has been achieved with outstanding results for RiskTech and its clients.

At it’s heart, the vision of RiskTech is to help organisations avoid damage to their assets, business in general and specifically their people. In the event that some form of incident does occur, help them minimise the adverse impacts and assist them to avoid it occurring again.

RiskTech provides business management solutions with particular focus on Property Asset Protection, Occupational Health & Safety, and Business Risk Exposures issues.

Each consultant employed by RiskTech has detailed knowledge and a practical understanding in one or more or the above fields. They appreciate the balance between the commercial realities of running a business whilst complying with the various legislative as well as code of practice requirements.
